CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR DIAGNOSIC TESTS
The Unité d'interface clinique (UIC) is a laboratory specialized in cellular and molecular diagnostic of cancer. Our mission is to set up tests and methods that are not available commercially. The laboratory originates from the Cancer Research Center of Laval University and now operates under the supervision of the Medical Biology department of the CHUQ. We offer an array of diagnostic tests to the scientific and medical communities:
• Detection of translocations involved in leukemia, lymphoma and sarcoma.
• Detection of monoclonality in T cell and B cell malignancies.
• Detection of oncogene amplification
• Analysis of DNA ploidy status
• Genotyping of polymorphisms involved in venous thrombosis risk.
• Detection and quantification of virus and bacteria
These tests can be performed on different samples including blood, bone marrow, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, fresh and frozen tissue or paraffin embedded samples. We use PCR, real-time quantitative PCR, CISH, FISH, and flow cytometry. For a complete list of our diagnostic tests, click on the link below.
Interface test list 
All these tests have been validated and are performed under the supervision of the laboratory director. Clinical interpretation of the results is reviewed and signed by pathologists, hematologists, or microbiologists of the CHUQ.
