The CRC unveils its new visual identity

Back to the list

The CRC is unveiling a new visual identity designed to reflect its evolution, values and vision for the future.

For more than 40 years, the CRC logo has accompanied the Centre’s development. An important symbol of our history, it has represented several generations of researchers and students.

Over the decades, the CRC has evolved considerably. Cancer research has changed, as have the scope of our activities and the diversity of expertise brought together within the Centre.

Today, our members contribute across the cancer research continuum, including prevention, treatment, palliative care, psychosocial interventions, clinical research and healthcare organization.

This evolution inspired a new visual identity that better reflects the CRC’s current reality, its academic identity and its vision for the future.

An identity rooted in our values

The new design retains the faces that characterized the CRC’s historic logo. Their forward movement evokes a centre focused on the future, innovation and the sharing of knowledge.

The silhouettes facing one another connect the experience gained over the years with the generations that will carry our mission forward. They also embody partnership-based research, bringing together people affected by cancer, their loved ones, research teams and our partners.

The circular shapes surrounding the profiles symbolize ideas, discoveries, innovation and the reach of knowledge emerging from collaboration across disciplines.

A stronger connection with Université Laval

Adopting red and gold creates a more direct connection with Université Laval’s visual identity and reaffirms the CRC’s place within the University.

This choice highlights the University’s essential role in developing an exceptional environment for cancer research and training, as well as in raising the profile of our scientific community.

An image for the CRC of today and tomorrow

The new logo represents the CRC’s current mission: supporting innovative, multidisciplinary research; training and mentoring the next generation; fostering collaboration; and advancing knowledge and care in oncology.

This new visual identity does not represent a break with our history. Rather, it expresses the continuity of a collective journey that is renewed and enriched through the commitment of our community, our partners and people affected by cancer.

It represents a CRC that is proud of its roots, fully engaged in the present and resolutely focused on the future.
