The Didier-Dufour Fund was created in 1986 thanks to a donation from Mrs. Gislaine Simard-Dufour in memory of her husband, a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, who devoted several years of his life to cancer research. It has been established that the Didier-Dufour Fund will encourage cancer research by awarding an annual research grant to an undergraduate student from Laval University as part of an summer internship at CRC.
The scholarship, valued at $4,500, is distributed as follows: the student's base salary is reimbursed to the researcher member up to $3,000 and a bonus of $1,500 is given to the student. The scholarship is awarded by the Scholarship Committee to the CRC summer intern who has distinguished themselves the most by the quality of their academic record, and mainly their cumulative average during their bachelor's degree. It will be presented at the Student Science Day.
